Here is the new cabbing machine that is in memory of long time member
AL SEGAR
Presentation of the second prize for the 2014 Scavenger Hunt from last year's Che-Hanna Rock and Mineral show to Kimberly Kzdanowicz at SRU. She is their new librarian and a very nice lady. I had never been to SRU now my list of visits to schools in Bradford County is complete.
I presented her with one book, a box of labeled fossils with a fossil book and a small box of samples students will receive at the show for completing the scavenger hunt quiz. She will send flyers home with the students.

Rick Marsi program on "Hiking Peru and Machu Pichu was great
.
His trek through Peru will feature snow-capped Andean Mountain peaks, mountain passes with heavy snow falls, hot humid tropical forests, deep forest trails filled with monkeys, birds and butterflies, the mysterious and beautiful ruins of Machu Pichu on a mist-enshrined morning, the Amazon river at sunrise, boating down this wide river 100 miles from the nearest road or airport.
For those of you not familiar with Rick's work, he is one of New York State's most popular public speakers and well-known for his award winning articles and photographs. He has received many awards for his nature columns and books and his photos have graced many a national magazine.
He is a very friendly and down-to-earth person, a good listener and has so very much to teach people about the beauty in one's neighborhood or far-flung places.
